Rob Simpson's Bio

My name is Rob Simpson, and I’m a Software Design Engineer in Test within the Exchange Scalability and Capacity Planning team at Microsoft.  I’ve been at Microsoft for 3.5 years and have just recently joined the Exchange Team. I’m currently focused on providing mailbox server role scalability and capacity planning guidance for Exchange 14 on-premise deployments. I’m also focused on validating sizing guidance for virtualized Exchange 14 server roles running on Hyper-V. Prior to joining the Exchange team, I was a PM at the Enterprise Engineering Center. The EEC is a large test facility that allows customers to test deployment and migration scenarios on pre-release Microsoft products so that we can identify real-world product bugs and deployment blockers prior to shipping products. In this role I had the opportunity to work side by side with some of our customers from all over the world. Perhaps the coolest thing I’ve ever been involved with was a 1.2 million mailbox proof of concept engagement… although I think that’s something I’d only want to do once. Smile
