Exchange "12" has a new name!

With Beta 2 approaching, Exchange "12" needed a name. I know the suspense has been killing everyone.

Well the wait is finally over:

Exchange Server 2007

If you keep hearing the team talk about "E12" , "12", or "Exchange 12" - please understand - it's all the same thing. It just takes a while for us to adjust.

Thanks!

When will they realise that "dated" names only serve to reinforce the length of time between releases.. (eg. Sql 2000 - Sql 2005)

Clever move that..

Oh, come on... can't we get back to names like Kluane, Osmium, Platinum, Mercury (for those who remember that fiasco), Titanium and all sorts of other "useful" monikers that only made sense in the buildings between 520 and BelRed?

the simpler, however inaccurate, the name makes it easier for "C-LEVEL" folks to understand what you are talking about.

A CIO knows that Exch 2003 is not Exch 2007 and vice versa.  Stupid, I agree, but C-level is where the money is.
